Elise Holmes

Elise Holmes is a native of Pasadena, California training under Cynthia Young and Laurence Blake at Pasadena Dance Theatre. She began her dance training from a young age and is trained in ballet, modern, and jazz. Holmes has trained at Ballet Arizona under Carlos and at Boca Ballet Theatre under Dan Guin and Jane dldk. During her time with Pasadena Dance Theatre she performed in works such as The Nutcracker, Graduation Ball, and original works by Young and Blake. In 2012 she was promoted to a trainee with the company and has since joined the company in 2017. In 2015 Ms. Holmes worked with Nancy Evans Dance Theatre as a guest artist for Leigh Purtill's production of Sweet Sorrow where she continued to hone her theatrical skills as a dance artist.
Holmes has since continued her dance education at the University of California Irvine, where she is a William J. Gillespie Scholar Recipient and has performed in multiple works choreographed by Tong Wang, Molly Lynch, and Diane Diefenderfer, while training under Lar Lubovitch, Vitor Luiz, and Dr. Alma Ray. Holmes has since been hand selected by Wang as a Rehearsal assistant for his staging of excerpts for La Sylphide as well as his original choreography for the 2020 Chinese American Spring Festival Gala. Holmes is known for her theatrical performance, consistency, and precision across a variety of styles.
